One of the greatest leaders of men in the 20th century, Martin Luther King Jr. This fascinating book on his life was written by Author and social historian Lerone Bennett Jr. His biography of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "What Manner of Man", was published in 1964. Bennett had been a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta with Dr. King.
Beautifully Inscribed on the front free endpaper, in blue ink, and in Kings own hand, "Best Wishes, Martin Luther King.”
This first edition hardcover is illustrated with photographs throughout and remains intact with the publisher's cloth binding with stamped decoration on the front cover and stamped titles on the spine. The cover has general handling wear and toning, as well as some tape residue from something being affixed to the front temporarily. The inside is also toned due to age and the pages with King's autograph and opposite of the autograph show tape residue and paper loss, evidence of a photograph or something, having been previously affixed. Overall this book is in good condition with a beautiful flourishing autograph from Dr. King that has been authenticated by third party experts from the top authenticators in the country.
